Agathis Dammara's artistic journey began with a burning passion for illustration. She honed her skills, specializing in captivating portraits, before joining the Pena Hitam communities. This early focus on capturing human likeness would become a cornerstone of her future work in tattoo artistry.

In 2015, Agathis embarked on a new chapter, venturing into the realm of tattoo artistry. However, her journey didn't start in a traditional studio. Fueled by her passion, she embarked on a six-month tattoo travel adventure in 2015. This immersive experience allowed her to learn from a multitude of talented tattoo mentors around Indonesia. This unique education, combined with her illustration background, provided a strong foundation for her tattoo artistry.

After returning from her travels, she began her professional journey as a freelance artist, further refining her craft before joining Lawless Tattoo Studio in 2017. In 2018, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found Sidespace Tattoo Parlour in Jakarta, alongside talented artists like Nadya Natassya "Nadcil," Danang Prihantoro "Unbound," and Jati "Antisimetri."

Agathis quickly established herself as a leading Jakarta tattoo artist, renowned for her captivating sketchy and portrait tattoos. Recognized as one of the best tattoo artists in Jakarta, her artistry has attracted a dedicated following.

After five successful years, Agathis decided to pursue her vision further. In December 2023, she opened her own private tattoo studio, Obstelier, in South Jakarta. Here, she continues to explore new artistic avenues, incorporating dynamic styles like liquid/flow water elements into her work. This artistic evolution adds a unique and authentic touch to her already remarkable tattoos.

Beyond technical expertise, Agathis is known for her empathetic approach. She actively listens to clients' stories and emotions, seamlessly incorporating them into her tattoo designs.
